Summer releases on Listen Columbus!
Starting off the season right with three new additions to the Listen Columbus lineup:
Miir's third EP, Reminiscent Vibes Volume 2, marks her first appearance on Listen Columbus: an old soul slinging singer born in Gary, Indiana, Miir has resided in Columbus since 2003. Singing has always been an outlet for a way for her to express herself she couldn’t do so in words.
Matthew J. Rolin is back on Listen Columbus with his latest, highly acclaimed solo album, The Dreaming Bridge: "Terrific tunes! Like William Tyler—another possible influence—Rolin, despite largely working from the necessarily limited palette of instrumental solo guitar music, thinks like a songwriter. This more traditional approach can be heard on tracks like “Moonlight” and “Backyard Blues” which follow a compositional logic complete with verses and choruses. Rolin performs these compositions beautifully; as a player he is dexterous and dynamic, with a light and agile touch reminiscent of early Will Ackerman or Alex De Grassi."
All Powerful Sungoddess is a unique female fronted singer/songwriter duo based in Columbus, Ohio. The band's style is hard to define, featuring ukulele and kickass vocal harmonies: discover their sound in their debut EP, Rootstalk.
